Last DT-post

I hope you all had a great New Year and that 2010 have started out great.

Today I wanted to show you my last DT-post.  I have decided to take a break from being a DT-member for a while,  so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank every one of you who has been reading and leaving comments over at Handarbetas blog. I’m going to try to keep this blog alive, so please stay tuned…

My creations this week is first a small card that I made by using Spellbinders Labels One, Labels Eight and for the flower I used Classic Scallop Circle Small.

Last post of 2009

I’m hoping you all have had a really nice christmas. Today I’m showing the very last DT creation for Handarbeta for this year and hoping next year will bring lots of new fun challenges and adventures for all of you.

This little box that I found on The Classroom, can be the perfect little hostess gift…but maybe then you would like to fill it with something more glamorous than marshmallows …it was the only thing I had at home

Card a la Sophia…

Long time no see….I have been on a wonderful vacation in Miami. I can’t tell you how nice it was to get some sun

Our DT-mamma challenged us to create something by imitating one of our team mates style, and I was to create something a la Sophia – Kurrebo. This girl is one of the most creative people I know, and her creations are amazing, so to me this was not an easy task. Of course I choose to make a card instead of an LO   This is what I came up with.

Christmas card with the little one

Since I only make cards I never get to use photos, so instead of making an LO I decided to use one of my favorite photos of my son, Milton, to create a christmas card for my dt-creation at Handarbeta. He is my own little vampire…noooo I’m not at all hooked on a certain book series but check out his vampire sharp teeth. He actually said it himself yesterday when he saw the photo “mom, look at my sharp teeth”, haha.

This will be a perfect card for M’s grandparents It’s a lot more personal and fun to make your own cards than buying the preprinted photocards you can order online. This is what I came up with, hope you enjoy it.

Tävling på Handarbeta

Nu var det min tur att lägga upp en tävling på Handarbetas blog. Vanligtvis gör jag ju ganska enkla och stilrena kort och därför tänkte jag att temat på tävlingen denna gången skulle vara just det. Jag vill att deltagarna skall skapa ett kort i färgerna beige, brunt, ljusblått och rött, med textstämplar alternativt handskrivet, ett band och lite bling.

Så här blev mitt kort.

New DT creation with Glimmer Screen and Mist

It is toooo late for me now so I’m just going to show some pictures.

I used Glimmer Screens and Glimmer Mist to create a faux letterpress. I found the instructions on Tattered Angels blog, but modified it to work with the Cuttlebug.

Colors of fall

We hang on to summer with everything we got, but now fall is here for real. I can’t really say that I’m looking forward to winter, but this season is so beautiful with all the amazing color changes in the foliage. I love the fall.

This new card I made for Handarbeta and the websters pages paper are hands down one of my favorites right now.

One of my collegues gave my son a small wheelbarrow that he really liked, so I  was thinking of giving her this card as a small thank you note. Her initials are KB, hence the monogram.

When I make cards I like them to be symmetrical in that sence that front and back are somewhat alike.

Chocolate…

With christmas not that far off I continue to think in terms of christmas cards and gifts. This little chocholate box I created for Handarbeta, and it will be a perfect little hostess gift at this years first chrismas party

I love this paper from Websters Pages called I’m Merry. I think the color combination red and light blue is fabulous and so versitile. It looks awesome for christmas projects, but with some other details it also works great year around.

I also made a small card to go with the box. The snowflakes are made with a Martha Stewart punch and I used clear embossing powder on the red paper to add some dimension to the card.

Procrastination

If you look this word up in a dictionary you will undoubtedly find a picture of me =) In other words you might also say that I am procrastination. However, I was thinking that this year may be different…at least when it comes to making and sending those christmas cards…well I quess we just have to wait and see

In the meantime I have actually started making a few. These I made for Handarbeta. The webshop has recieved some amazingly cute winter papers, so I made the cards super simple in order to really display the papers.

I love this Gingerbread house paper.

These small card will make a perfect addition to any christmas gifts…isn’t it fun with some untraditional christmas colors?

I’m sorry about the poor picture quality, but I was sooo tired last night when I tried to take the pictures that I didn’t realize how bad they actually were…

Happy Friday

Hi everyone…it’s friday!!! Hope you all hade a good week. Last Thursday was Mattias birthday, so I had arranged for Milton to stay with our friends and I made reservations at a nice restaurang. It was the first time in ages that we went out for dinner together and we had a great evening. I gave him a nice messenger bag from Fossil and this is the card I made for him.

Mattias birthday wasn’t the only one we celebrated this past week, but Miltons friend Nora also had a party. She turned 3 and this is the card I made for her.

At last I also have a wedding card to show you, I guess this is what happens when you don’t post on you’re blog often enough
